Why do I do this to myself?
This is meant to be a prequel to Wrong Turn, but quite frankly ruins the original's backstory. If the cannibals were in an asylum up until 2003, how did they have so many cars, licenses, etc .. also in 2003? And how did they find land, a shack to make their own, etc all within a couple of months? I'm not going to pretend Wrong Turn is a piece of cinematic marvel, but it's a fun horror movie and this rubs its little nubs all over it.
The casting in this is horrendous as you'd expect. Why would it be any good when they're on part 4? The cast is quite large for how dumb and ineffective they are. You'd expect them to put up a bit of a fight, but no. They don't. The acting in this makes regional theater look like Broadway.
The plot has so many holes and so many stupid ideas all meshed into one that I find it ridiculous to even try to unravel it. It's not even fun or goofy, it's just bad. I guess at least they used some practical effects with their awful CG.
