H20 was supposed to end the series. They had it setup so that there was no way for Michael to come back, yet they decided "hey we can't just NOT make another one" ... Ugh. I'm going to spoil the ending of H20 and the beginning of this. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

SPOILERS FOR H20 and Resurrection!

After Laurie lops off Michael's head in H20, they discover that Michael actually just crushed the larynx of a poor ambulance driver and that was NOT him at all in the mask.. it was the ambulance guy! So that guy is dead, Michael walks off in a paramedic jumpsuit .. brandishing his flipping knife.. and no one looks for him for 3 years? Ok then.

The first 15 minutes or so of this movie are basically an alternate ending of H20 where Laurie dies instead and Michael is like "I guess I'll go home now" before returning to Haddonfield.

That's where THIS movie picks up. You get Busta Rhymes and Tyra Banks setting up a digital show called Dangertainment (yes, that's real) that is going to stream a bunch of idiots from the Myers house. Each of them is wired up with a sweet digital camera that streams in .. I don't know, 48p? No, not 480. This is 2002. The picture looks like garbage.

For some reason there's this B-plot of a male college freshman who has been chatting online with one of the females who are going to be in the house. We get to see him go to a party he's not invited to, pretend like they're kinda-sorta dating to his friend, and then help her survive as he watches Michael walk around the house on the various hidden cameras. There's no point in having him in this movie AT ALL because they never meet, they never talk, they never see each other. But I guess it pads the movie with another 10 or so minutes to say "we got 89!"

The kills in this are not very interesting. He rips off Jason Voorhees in one scene by crushing a head. That's about it for the fun stuff. Lots of run of the mill throat slashings, impalings, etc. I am not impressed.

You get to see Busta Rhymes do fake Kung Fu and squeal like he's Bruce Lee. He also has a ton of really stupid one-liners and speeches. I assume he had a lot of control over what he said/did in this and they just kind of let him do his thing. This was a mistake.

Recommended?

No. Ugh, no. It's a stupid movie.
