What's interesting these days is that "direct-to-streaming" doesn't mean anything negative. But let me tell you, pal, direct-to-video in 1999 meant you had a heap of a movie. Guess what! This movie was direct-to-video. I wonder what that could mean...
Andrew Divoff returns as the Djinn once again with his bag of tricks. Or wish fulfillments. Or whatever you want to say. This time they explain the lore a bit more and even the people being targeted know all of the details. He just needs a bit more in terms of souls! But this one adds a twist of a priest and "God" being a thing in here. IS HE A DEVIL? Well no, he isn't.
This starts in out with a robbery gone wrong and throws the Djinn from his fire opal prison into an actual prison for people when he takes the fall. Why does he do that you ask? To get in the good graces of the girl who needs to make wishes, of course! Even though she would be more apt to wish for better things if she were in prison... Oops. So yeah, the story is bad.
But you're not here for the story, are you? You're curious to see what kind of ways people are going to die! There are some funny kills in this one. I'm not going to spoil any of them, but there's a lot of fun bone crunching action and one incredibly bizarre sequence with a lawyer. Oh and I guess the cast sucks but the main girl was definitely my type in 1999.

It's a direct-to-video sequel. You know it's bad.
