Melissa George has is in so many fantastic movies. She's an actress I never really think of, but when I see her I'm always impressed. THIS MOVIE IS NO DIFFERENT! Actually, all of the acting in this movie is really good. Liam Hemsworth is in it if that's your thing. I thought the dude who played Greg was particularly good.
As you may have seen before, I really like movies where people get stuck in time loops or different dimensions of time. I can't explain exactly why, but I find it so fascinating. This movie is one of those so you know I was into it.
The basic premise is that a woman goes out on a yacht with her buds until a storm capsizes their boat and they're rescued by a bizarre ocean liner. Or does it start there? ONLY TIME WILL TELL. ONLY TIME WILL TELL. ONLY TIME WILL TELL. ONLY WELL TIME WILL. ONLY TIME WILL TELL.
The pacing in this movie could use a bit of tightening up because in any time loop movie, you see a few of the same things a lot. This one was pretty good overall at keeping it fresh, but there were times where it was like "get on with it." It's more of a nitpick if I'm honest. There wasn't much I didn't like about this.
It's reminiscent of Timecrimes and Coherence in the best way possible. I really enjoy both of those movies.
