Flipping through Tubi and this is what I see. Hey, I watched The Strangers in theaters and thought it was ok. If this is a direct sequel, I guess let's see what those silly geese got up to after that night's events! I had low expectations for this being a sequel and like 10 years after the first one. I vaguely remember seeing ads for it back then and although I do like horror, I don't like going to the cinema to see movies, so I never got around to it.

Hmm, where to start. There isn't much of a story to this. Instead of them being intruded upon in their home from the start, they run into these people after exploring this super cool trailer park and finding dead bodies of people they know. Then it's just like.. stalking sequences and murders. That's the whole thing.

In a movie like this, you really need the stalking to be creepy and feel what the characters are (supposed to be) feeling. This one doesn't land. Maybe it's the poor acting. Maybe it's the inept way these killers go about their.. hobby? I'm not sure. It wasn't a tense movie though.

So here we are without a story and without tension. What is left? Are there cool kills at least? No. Cool sequences where wild things happen? Again, no. GREAT acting that happens to be stuck in a mediocre movie? Afraid not. There's a sequence where someone tries to run away from a truck by running down a street. What are we doing here?

Some movies have something for everyone, while this movie seems to have something for no one. This movie has a lower rotten tomatoes audience score than it does critic score and that almost never happens in horror. Oh, they're both in the 30s as well.

Recommended?

Nope. Mercifully it's not long, but it's a boring movie.
