Total Times Watched – Quiiitte a few times, usually around Christmas
A contemporary Christmas classic with a pretty crazy cast. It has hits and misses to it, but overall it’s pretty good. Liam Neeson is at an 11 the entire movie. It’s pretty funny to see him in this role. Some of the storylines are more interesting than others. Alan Rickman’s story isn’t very engaging and he seems too quick to be seeking forgiveness and abandoning a (bizarre looking) woman who clearly wants him. She’s not my type, but compared to Emma Thompson? I mean.. Really not a tough choice. I’m not a fan of Keira Knightley in anything, and this is no different. If anything, there may be too many stories that intertwine in this at the end. I wanted to see more of Plumpy and David.
If you’re in the mood for light-hearted romance that is very Christmasy, this is your pick.
